LOS ANGELES,
CA (May 27, 2009) – Iconic Rock & Roll
Hall of Famers Steely Dan have announced
that their 30+ date U.S. “Rent Party ‘09
Tour” will include special setlist
engagements in four metropolitan markets,
giving their audience an unprecedented
opportunity to hear both classic albums
in their entirety as well as deep cut fan-selected favorites.
In addition to single-night
concerts across the country, the group’s
masterminds Walter Becker and Donald Fagen
have also scheduled multi-night stands
of special setlist shows in New York, Boston,
Los Angeles and Chicago. For Classic
Album (Plus) Nights, one of three
landmark albums — Aja, Gaucho, or The
Royal Scam — is performed in
its entirety, along with selected additional
favorites. For Takin' It
to the Seats Internet Request
Night, the setlist is determined by internet
votes from ticket-holders for that show.
The special setlist
shows will be played during four nights
at L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheater, four
nights at the Chicago Theatre, four nights
at New York’s Beacon Theatre, and
three nights at Boston’s Wang Theatre [*].
